Acquisition of Mikron gear machine activities in Biel, Switzerland leads to the founding of Gleason-Pfauter Switzerland. The first P100 Dry Hobbing Machine is presented.

First profile grinding machine.


1983

Delivery of the first Pfauter PE150 CNC Hobbing Machine. The PE150 will become the best selling hobbing machine worldwide.

1975

Presentation of first NC hobbing machine at EMO Paris, France.


1952

After the dismantling of most of the equipment, the company is expropriated and the Pfauter family transfers to the Allied Zone. A new plant is opened in Ludwigsburg, West Germany.


1938/39

Pfauter introduces the ‘climb hobbing’ process, the first automated hobbing machine and the first motorized hob head. The factory grows to 17,000 m2 and 800 employees.

 


1925

Socially engaged and innovative for its time, The Hermann Pfauter Foundation provides a company pension plan.


1908-1914

The 2,000th Pfauter hobbing machine is produced. Robert Hermann Pfauter dies on October 14th, 1914 at the age of 60. His wife, Clara Pfauter, assumes management of the company.

1900

The Hermann Pfauter Maschinenfabrik KG is founded in Chemnitz, Germany. 

1897

Robert Hermann Pfauter invents and patents the gear hobbing process.
